The Reception Area: Your Company’s Most Important Space

In office design, the reception area is one of the most important spaces.   Experts say that in many ways, your reception area works as your business card. When visitors walk through your doors, there should be an instant impression made in regards to who you are as a company. Guests should be able to grasp almost immediately the brand of your business, in addition to what your business does. The representation that’s portrayed in your reception area should be the absolute best representation possible as people form opinions based off of this initial impression. And, first impressions oftentimes last with us for a long time. … Continue reading

A Winter Retreat: Interiors Inspiration Palette

With the year wrapping up, so is our yearlong inspiration palette project. Not familiar with our seasonal palette projects? Our goal is to embody the essence of each current season while utilizing various materials that are used in interior design. Materials include wallcovering, flooring, paint chips, upholstery fabric, tile and other finishes that are utilized in interiors projects. If you haven’t yet checked out our spring, summer, and fall inspiration palettes, take a look! This winter palette is easily our favorite. It incorporates crisp whites and cool greys for an airy, tone-on-tone look.   In the winter months, it’s almost as though the world feels more quiet. Some of us fully welcome the solitude … Continue reading

Jump into Fall: Interiors Inspiration Palette

After we completed our inspiration palette for summer and the leaves began to change with cooling temperatures, our design team started collecting materials for our fall palette, which is warm, earthy and textural. Not familiar with our seasonal palette projects? Our goal is to embody the essence of each current season while utilizing various materials that are used in interior design.   With the temperatures and amount of daylight dropping rapidly, many people turn inward during the fall. The comfort that sweaters, soft blankets and hot drinks bring is soothing with winter gradually approaching. We brought in cozy fabrics, like velvet and felt to capture this need to stay warm with transitioning weather. We also took … Continue reading

Resimercial Design in the Office: Your Home Away from Home

Sitting too long in one place with no change of scenery other than the walls of one’s cubicle can be a drain to some. That’s why collaborative spaces, touch-downs and other options for employees to move around continue to raise in popularity. With recent advancements in technology, a lot of us are going mobile. Why sit at your desk all day if you don’t have to? Workplace wellness is a hot topic that’s leading to major changes in the workplace and in office design. Summer State of Mind: Interiors Inspiration Palette

After completing our inspiration palette for spring, our designers were looking forward to collecting materials for our summer palette, which is colorful, vibrant and fresh. Not familiar with our seasonal palette projects? Our goal is to embody the essence of each current season while utilizing various materials that are used in interior design.   We took inspiration from the heat, as summer is the hottest in temperature out of the four seasons. Envision canyons in Arizona with a sunset backdrop made of dusky pinks and soft oranges. Or, imagine a fiery desert sun beaming on cacti plentiful with flowers in bloom. In the summer, the days are longer and the nights are shorter. … Continue reading

Biophilic Design in the Office

The cubicle has really gained a reputation throughout the years. For many, it’s one of those “things we love to hate.” So much so, that Wired published an article titled “These Are The Saddest Office Cubicles We Could Find” in which readers were asked to tweet a photo of their “depressing” workspace with the hashtag #SadDesk. The saddest workspaces were posted on Wired’s website. Small, crowded and lacking natural light, the cubicles in the article look awfully familiar.     Many Americans spend a large amount of time in the office. Some find themselves in a cubicle or private office with no windows or access to natural light.  The fortunate few are lucky … Continue reading

The Essence of Spring: Interiors Inspiration Palette

We had a ton of fun creating this inspiration palette, which goal was to embody the essence of spring while utilizing various materials that are used in interior design.   A time of rejuvenation and regrowth, spring is when many plants begin to grow and flower. We incorporated lavender, pussy willow, a cotton branch and other plants for a touch of nature, in addition to added texture and interest. The color green, which oftentimes symbolizes life, nature, and well being, was an easy choice for the main accent color. In this case, we specifically went with a chartreuse since the color itself is the perfect spring green. Lavender, … Continue reading
